Traci Sanderson portrait - Artist based in Yountville, California

Traci Sanderson is a multidisciplinary artist based in Yountville, California, whose creative journey began in Upstate New York. Raised by inventive parents, Traci's early years were filled with hands-on artistry, from sewing and baking with her mother to building the family home with her father. This imaginative upbringing shaped her lifelong passion for creating and designing.

Traci studied at DePaul University, The Art Institute of Chicago, and Columbia College, where she first fell in love with painting and art history. Although necessity led her to pursue a successful career as a specialty food merchant, her true nature as an artist never faded. For years, "Artist Traci" quietly infused creativity into every aspect of her work, patiently waiting for the moment she could fully walk in those shoes. Embracing her identity as an artist has been a journey—one of allowing her creative spirit to unfold, shine brightly, and continually evolve.

A pivotal moment came when Traci met artist and gallery co-founder JD Miller. Their friendship sparked nearly a decade ago, awakened Traci's creative voice after years of silence. Inspired by JD's passion and mentorship—and a serendipitous move to Yountville—Traci returned to painting with renewed energy. Their collaborative piece, "Floral in a White Vase," and her own "Tulips for A Friend," are testaments to this artistic revival.

Traci's work is deeply influenced by master artists such as Monet, Cézanne, and Degas, whose bold visions and innovative techniques continue to inspire her creative evolution.

Today, Traci fully embraces her identity as an artist, continually exploring new mediums and sharing her evolving story through visual art, design, and writing.
